Profile
Muneeb is a corporate lawyer and regulatory expert with over 30 years of distinguishable experience. His expertise spans a wide range of legal fields including banking, companies, contracts, energy, investment, regulatory affairs and technology. He has been at the forefront of advising on complex business transactions, groundbreaking construction and energy projects, and high-stakes investment decisions. His advisory portfolio includes various acquisitions, financing agreements, joint ventures, oil and gas transactions, privatisations, procurements and regulatory consents.
Muneeb is an accomplished counsel and arbitrator. He has handled several arbitrations in intricate contractual disputes, earning him reputation for professionalism and skilfulness.
Additionally, Muneeb acted as the legal adviser for Ministry of Finance, Pakistan for almost 10 years. He represented the Government of Pakistan before several international institutions on countering financial crimes for a number of years. He authored the first national strategy on countering financial crimes, national risk assessment report on financial crimes, and several legislative instruments for the Government of Pakistan.
Regulatory work
Moreover, Muneeb has been advising on law and policy reforms for over 20 years. This includes several legal consultancies on legislative drafting and regulatory reforms for governmental departments and international institutions such as, the World Bank, UNODC, USAID, IFC, GIZ and ADB. Recently, he has been consulting for the World Bank on the privatisation framework of power distribution companies.

Muneeb is a trainer of regulatory frameworks, and has delivered over 50 capacity-building trainings in the last 12 years to officials of government departments and regulatory authorities, including ANF, FIA, FBR (I&I) and provincial Police. Most of these trainings were jointly sponsored by governmental authorities and international financial institutions. Earlier, he was a visiting lecturer of commercial laws at the leading universities of Pakistan. He has written a number of research papers, articles and notes on major legal developments.
